As I walked outside this morning the full moon was high in the sky illuminating the river. The closer it came to setting the more orange it became, hence the name Blood Moon.
It was a stormy morning with lightning and storm clouds off shore keeping the sun hidden once again. Willy the willet stopped by to say hello and take a short walk before flying off with friends.
The July full moon has a few names, the Blood Moon, The Thunder Moon and the Full Buck Moon, because the Buck's antlers are in full growth.
The message today is from the moon, which asks us to be open to letting go of what weighs us down while being open to what's next. This full moon comes with an eclipse. Eclipses are about opening new doors and closing old ones. It is a marker for the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another.
