Another breezy sunrise with the big ball of light coming up unencumbered by clouds. The ocean is powerful again today showing just how dynamic water can be.
I was pleasantly surprised to see one skimmer because the flock has already migrated north. This one seemed to be doing just fine on his own. S/he flew by 5 times, each time coming a little closer. I love skimmers for lots of reasons, they bark like a dog, are excellent fliers and have sweet soulful eyes. They fly along the water stopping up fish. They can even fly forward while their beak is facing upside down and backwards! This skimmer brings the message of being flexible and open to making quick changes to grab opportunities.
Wishing you a beautiful day!
PS- Tales from the Lagoon is having a coming out party! I will be giving a presentation with stories and a slideshow about our flippered and feathered friends on May 29th and a gallery opening on June 1. Check out the new Events page for more details.
